In this role, the Purchasing Intern will work under the Senior Purchasing Manager to assist in seeking out new trade partners by visiting competitors, gaining field exposure through product application, seeking out bids, reviewing scopes of work, and flagging out contract holes.

Other Responsibilities May Include

• Understanding cost reductions, cost recommendations, and model rebates
• Processing custom options
• Building relationships with regionally contracted vendors
• Gaining exposure in trade description contracting

We seek students currently enrolled in their Junior or Senior year majoring in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field, and are interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation. The ideal candidate has strong coordination, time management, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Basic knowledge of the current construction market, ability to review contracts, and negotiating skills is a plus!

Candidates must have a reliable form of transportation as they will be asked to attend meetings in the Orlando division office and local communities during the day.

InternFest
Each July interns from across the country are invited to our Corporate Office, based in the Greater Philadelphia Area, to attend the annual InternFest. During this multi-day event, interns meet and hear from executives, tour communities, network with each other, and participate in fun activities int eh city of Philadelphia. The overall goal of our internship program is to hire interns into full-time positions upon graduation.
