We are currently seeking an Events Coordinator within the Motion Picture Marketing department. This department interacts with movie studios and advises clients on the marketing and distribution of their films on topics including release dates, questions for test screenings, identifying target audiences, making suggestions on creative, media plans, and TV spots.



Responsibilities

Coordinating and organizing Academy screenings during the fall which includes budgeting, invoicing, invitation approval and distribution, guest lists, seating assignments, catering, transportation, hotels and parking.
Work closely with CAA in-house caterer, security and facilities.
Bring creative ideas to how we approach existing events, while being highly attuned to CAA’s overall brand and to the specific audiences of each event.
Creating extensive tracking grids and spreadsheets using Excel.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 1-2 years of event coordination experience at a studio, talent agency or entertainment company.
Ability to work well under pressure; meet tight deadlines; manage multiple projects and expectations; and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities.
Attention to detail and strong organization skills are a must.
Strong interpersonal skills, while understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels.
Adept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and ability to assimilate oneself and become familiar with existing systems.
Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite and in particular Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
